PARIS, France — The Paris Taekwondo Grand Prix 2026 brings the world’s best athletes to France for the last stop of this year’s World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series.

Dates and venue

The event takes place at the Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan in Levallois-Perret from October 8 to 11. Para taekwondo opens the program on October 8, followed by the eight Olympic kyorugi categories from October 9 to 11. After Rome and Muju, Paris is the third and final Series stop before the Grand Prix Final in Astana, Kazakhstan, in November.

The entry list is strong. World Taekwondo has announced 253 kyorugi athletes from 54 countries plus the Taekwondo Refugee Team, and 113 para taekwondo athletes from 30 countries. The field includes 13 athletes who won gold at the first two stops this year.

Athletes to watch

All eyes will be on Brazil’s Maria Clara Pacheco. She won the women’s −57kg title in both Rome and Muju, and she arrives in France chasing a third straight Series title.

Other champions from earlier stops are also on the list. From Rome come Côte d’Ivoire’s Kimi Laurène Ossin (+67kg), Hungary’s Viviana Márton (−67kg), Spain’s Juan Antonio Milán Cánovas (−80kg) and Turkey’s Berkay Erer (−68kg). From Muju come Egypt’s Seif Eissa (+80kg), Raman Turavinau (−80kg) and China’s Fu Xiaolu (−49kg).

Cyrian Ravet fights at home

The home crowd will be watching Cyrian Ravet closely. The Paris 2024 bronze medalist trains at the Levallois Sporting Club and knows the venue well. He won bronze at the German Open in −63kg on September 19, after first-round exits at −68kg in both Rome and Muju.

Para taekwondo stars in Paris

The para program also has big names. Paris 2024 Paralympic champion Amy Truesdale of Great Britain is entered in +65kg, and France’s Djelika Diallo, a Paralympic silver medalist, competes in −65kg.

With ranking points and Grand Prix Final spots on the line, the Paris weekend could reshape the Olympic rankings.
